That's a long toy run at 230Km, sounds like a great ride out in the country to Cochrine and down to Okotoks and back to Calgary.

300 k actually bucking a nasty wind but warm.
My 6 year old daughter went with me and had a blast....
Not as big as last years attendance but still about 400 ish.
Cant help thinking these rides get more and more political nonsense and its hard not to see it filter down in the event.
But i just go too do my part (toys for kids) and ignore the idiots . As my daughters call them " The Wild HOgs "
No-one can seem to just be themselves. They almost all play the outlaw badass and i find it funny.
There was more leather there than a fetish shop has.

Oh my... sorry for barging in on the conversation... but i nearly fell off my chair laughing... smart kids! I can't wait to get to the stage where I am lucky enough to get my ride... but it's worth the wait... I am content to beg borrow and bribe my way onto a bike... just wish all my friends didn't live so far away... Enjoy the ride... It looks like the weather might give us a couple more beautiful weekends.

NEW NORWAY...I have been talking with Gord and he tells me...the run will continue! Part of the deal if and when the bar sells is the Run continues on from there...this year was too big not to carry on with it.
In fact, Fri the 25th is the day they hand over the cheque to MFRC Edmonton. We are just waiting timings as hopefully a 1/2 dozen or so will head there for the event and maybe overnight for a dinner and drinkls and some laughs. I hope he gets the timings soon so I can book off work.

Toy runs are fun and brimngs out al kinds of folks! LAst Edm toy run I went to was crazt with about 3ooo, I dont bother that s a bit too big of a group ride for meLOL

Thanks... Your comin' from one of the my favorite spots... My dad worked on the base in 82'/83' before the cruise missile tests... I spent all the free time I could watching the jets take off and land... What a sight... Loved the winters too... Although it was odd coming from windy southern alberta and seeing snow that fell straight down...

She gets pretty windy up here these days, still lots of snow n cold in the winter

You would not recognize how big it is since oil n gas hit! 13000 plus shadow population of the oil fields.
Small mall, large W Mart with food court, huge CDn tire etc etc etc
Tons of HD's up here with the oil money and lots of sport bikes.
Jet's are still flyin although there is less of them. We're just finishing up a modernization program to keep in the ait until 2017-2020
