Nope. I didn't really have time for a ride but was going to make some if you and your hubby went out. Just got back from Victoria this morning. Will be riding as much as I can for the next 3 days (good weather).

Sunday was nice. Didn't do a lot of riding just walked around Anacortes. Checking out the crowd and bikes...quite a mix of people. The weather was great. There were thousands of bikes. Didn't bring a camera but I'm sure there'll be a lot of pics online

What are your experiences with Steve Drane HD in Victoria? I went in for the 2nd time this past weekend. They don't know me at all. I needed a shock spanner from parts. The guy was ridiculously unapproachable. He had the personality of a dead cod. Yuck. Jokingly, I suggested the price was steep for the tool (piece of stamped metal - $15). Deadpan, he says "do you want it or not". Didn't like talking to him. Was wandering around the new bikes and a sales guy started talking to me. I asked him for an opinion on suspensions (if he had one). I told him my concerns with my bike. He suggested it's been in an accident. I assured him it hasn't (nor do my concerns remotely implicate this IMO). He kept on about it and wouldn't drop it and walked away. He really finished off my experience. I was polite, smiling and engaging the whole time I was in the store. It wasn't busy. I am not impressed with this shop.

Haven't dealt with them much. Have to bring the bike in for a recall issue. They couldn't give me a time. Just to bring it in on a such and such day and they'd try to get to it sometime during the day. Gonna wait till they're not so busy and try again. Too bad recall work has to be done by a dealer otherwise I'd bring the bike to Arrow Cycle

Oh god, don't get me started on Steve Drane. Crashed Mr's softail during a test drive after service! Didn't tighten my ground cable the first day I got it and after a recall service, dead bike 2x, once in Victoria rush hour traffic. Now we go to Arrow Custom Cycles in Duncan, they are awesome!

Well then, my impressions of SD are valid. I thought so. I will let them know sometime, although I doubt they will care given the employee's attitudes.
I will check out Arrow. Where are they in Duncan? I've been to Dragon Custom and Heritage Cycles in Nanaimo but I'm not sure about them. Anyone else have experience with these guys?

Across the TCH from Allenby. South side of Duncan. Follow the service road. Big brick building...can't miss it

Toolguy, just head south from Duncan. After the green bridge go left at the second set of lights. Just follow the road adjacent to the highway and on the corner you'll see a brick building on the left with ivy all over it. Dean, the mechanic there is great and Maggie is really helpful for any parts and anything else you want, they have tons of catalogues and she's always found anything I've been looking for.
