Hey there! I'm looking for a FL conversion to my 05 FXD because I like running fat tires in the front. Personally I dig the "Japanese bobber" look, with fat tires running in FL front ends...I think I've come to the right place.

I own an 05 FXD I wrecked two months ago, so please bear with me as I begin the rebuild process, thank you for your patience!

I removed my stock 2002 Dyna rear fender with 150 rear tire, it measures 7.75 inches outside measurement, I picked up a touring fender of same year and it measures 7.25 inches across at mounting point. Question for you guys, how did you make the seat retaining hole to use the stock seat bolt gadget?

Drilled the big hole, then used a small air powered die grinder to make it that "pear" shape. Easier than it sounds.

Two years after doing the front end FL conversion I finally managed to get the wheel thing figured out. Pulled off the "temporary" laced wheels and got the original Low Rider cast wheels back on. I like the way it turned out, although I was a bit worried it might look a bit odd with the 110 width front tire in the bigger Fatboy fender, it isn't too noticable.

Hey everyone. I just want to thank you all for the insperation towards my touring look. If want to go the route of the FL look with the big front end and bags and what not. I started with the required bags due to travelling I do, hopefully the rest will come over the next few years. Some of you have seen the progress on the Dyna forum, but I figured I would share here also because you all have a closer interest to the work I am doing.

Getting my 09 street glide fender in the mail today and can't wait to get it mounted, I'm also running the RWD Rambler front fender. I love the look of the Street Glide fender on a Dyna but IMO don't like a lot of tire showing. May see if i can get it to sit a little lower though even if I have to make my own seat pan, already have done it once and really enjoyed it! Post pictures soon!!

Working on it, still have to adjust the rear fender a bit
