hey scadoodle, thanks again for the imput. i tore into it this weekend, installed the new burly narrow 12" apes and the coil relocation kit. ill get some photos up soon. also think i found the sputtering problem, i went through and dielectric greased all the connections, fuses and terminals while doing the install, when i got to the positive terminal on the battery to remove it for the coil install, the pos battery tender attatchment the previous owner installed had a crack in the loop that attactches to the battery and had popped off leaving a bit of a gap for the rest of the positive connectors to move around on the bolt attaching them to the batteries connection. son of a bitch lol man that was dumb, but at least it was simple (hopefully... its winter and wont be able to run 'er around till late april/may) reflecting back to the A.S.S. comment, seems appropriate . I also bought the Kuryakyn Pro-R hypercharger and installed it. didn't like it at all, i mean it looks nice but with the peanut tank it stuck out farther than i like. pulled it off putting the low profile KnN on it. Anyone want to buy a hypercharger for 200 bucks + shipping i'm not gonna use it, have it on craigslist but figured id throw it out there.

hey SLOnoey-just reset your trip counter on the speedo when you fill up. you know how many miles per gallon you get on the bike so it's pretty simple to compute. you have enough electrical devices on that bike, why add more? when the light comes on you prolly got about 15-20mis. left to fill up.

hey thanks bmxatv...I do set the trip but LOL... sometimes I forget and then I get in a panic!! YOu are right don't need more crap on the bike...I like it simple and clean.

So latest update. I un wired and cut off the license bracket, grinded it down and remounted to a fabed bracket off of the passenger peg. Rewired it back through the bike. Got rid of the stock paint work on the tank so it all matched. Flush mount black gas cap, and put some Burly slammers on the rear. Check out the lastest photos to see 'er. Would strongly recomend the license bracket relocation. Dont buy one, a little creativity and some direction you can do it yourself. Ask i'll walk you through if you want.
