I use a Bushtec plug and play relay based isolator. Works well and I've been happy with it.
I believe the company Electrical Connections manufactures the isolator for Bushtec.

I've got a 15' FLHTC, just installed a Khrome Werks hitch with mating Plug-n-Play wiring kit.... flat 4 pin harness, install was easy, then wired my newly purchase (used) trailer to match omitting a few lights that were not needed. All works great & can't wait to try it out this year!

Thanks for the replies. I have a wiring connector for previous purchases, so I made my own plugin. Bought a Hopkins powered converter for the lighting. Found out that truck use 4/5/6 pin metal connectors between tractor and trailers. So I only had to fabricate the plug mount. All for under $40.
