I haven't been able to find much with the search function regarding trailer hitches for the FLHT series. What hitches are available, and from whom? I am making a trailer from a Harbor Freight frame and a Sears XCargo carrier. The frame has a 1 7/8" receiver on it. Any help would be appreciated.

read some negative stuff about the Kury hitch and how it mounts. I'd go elsewhere: McHitch, Hitch doctor, etc.

I have a Bushtec hitch that is great.&nbsp\\; when the stinger is removed, the receiver is pretty much hidden.&nbsp\\; Quality hitch.

I also have heard some negative things about Kury. Any of the other models will work great for you.

 

I have the Kury hitch. I have not had any problems (that I know of). However, if there is an issue with them I would like to know about it here...before I find out about it on the road!

Could someone please let me know what negatives they have heard about them?

Not cheap, but works great and great looking. I made a receiver plug&nbsp\\;and stuck on one of the Harley Scull emblems. Looks awesome. Can't even tell it's a trailer hitch. Looks so much better that that big bracket and ball hanging out there all the time.

 

Forgot to mention: a real nice feature of any receiver hitch is that you can adjust the height of the ball by flipping the draw bar, or getting one with a different offset. So you can get your trailer tongue level.
