Default Street Rod Handlebar Change

Thinking of changing my bars but was still uncertain how much higher than stock can i go?

Also, do you think Pro Taper 7/8 bars can easily fit?

I picked up a Biltwell "Tracker" bar (7/8", lowest one) to change out early on, wanting just a little more height.

Looks like there's enough slack in everything to go up a little, if you don't get carried away with the height.

Main stumble for me were the locating holes that would have to be drilled (reasonably accurately) for mounting the controls. The two little clips for the cables could be replaced with tie wraps, but the locating pins for the controls will need their respective holes in place for proper and secure mounting.

You'd need to get the bar rotation set just right and make sure you're happy with it before you start drilling, or the controls aren't going to be in the right position.

It is, unfortunately, not just a simple "unbolt and swap" modification...

Do you know if there is a easier route to change bars?

Maybe something that is made for the XGa?

Thanks again yo

Afraid I don't.

I'm not having too much trouble with the stock bar as set up, so it's not a big priority for me right now. It'd be nice if it was a skosh higher, but I'm happy.

Besides, I got lucky with the Diamond Black grip install, I don't feel like doing it again.

We're just going to have to wait for the aftermarket to catch up with the Street Rod...

I have adjustable and universal bar risers on mine... They were $30 shipped and installed very easily. One of the first things I did to mine. I love the drag bars, Very nice for control in the sweepers...
