I traded my 2014 Street Glide Special for a Street Rod. I have heard all the insults about "stepping down" to a street. I have been riding since I was 7 I'm 55 I have rode all of the Jap big 4 streets and dirts; I have had 4 Harley's. I have to say that the thrill of riding has come back for me with this bike. I can actually get down on the curves and the torque gets me up hills in a hurry. In the city it is a beast. FortNine should stick to Skinny pants reviews, He obviously doesn't know Bikes.

Well he does represent us; the younger generation HD is trying to sell to, pretty well in this video. I was on the border of buying a Ducati Scrambler or Yammy XSR900 or Yammy FZ-07 (For the price, I still might!) or Triumph Street Cup. HD sold me on my XG-A BUT I'm still not sold on the brand. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my XG-A however I see allot of flaws in the ride and compared to the other models I'm seeing reliability issues. When my warranty comes up I will be trading it in for I can't afford to own a not so reliable bike, I ride too much. So in 2 years HD needs to "WOW" me again with another new or improved bike. My bike has been not so reliable, It could be that I've had the bike for about 4 months now and have put 7K miles on it but putting 20K miles on a year here in VT (Only 7-8 really good riding months a year here) means I'm riding in everything, at any time, every day, multiple times a day. My Japanese bikes held up fine and my TU250X has been a great commuter back up when the HD get's dropped off to the shop... Price in repairs isn't the issue just the frequency of the repairs. They need to make something a little more versatile something like this but stock from the factory but with the Street Rod geometry (Example is just a street).
I'd say only my 2 cents but if Harley wants to keep me buying in the brand, they need to make a concerted effort in making a motorcycle I want to ride.
I get asked often what my dream bike is at the dealer as they point to the show room. I just point to a Street-Rod and say, that with comfortable rear sets and a 1000cc High Output High RPM Revolution motor with easy 110hp off the floor... They Often rebuttal and say, That's too crazy and I say... Nope it's been done. Just make it into something beautiful HAHA:
It's no secret I will never own a traditional Harley Davidson or cruiser, only the Rev-X please...
