I simply took the air cleaner assembly apart and cut the snorkels off of the intake with a dremel tool. The wire mesh needs the snorkel cap in place to hold it. When I was finished cutting the tubes off I took a heated nail to heat weld the part back on. It was very easy and the difference is amazing.

Well I wasted 80 bucks on the new screaming Eagle air cleaner fro Harley Davidson. Absolutely no difference in the stock air cleaner and the new SE In performance gain. Virtulely identical in appearance and material except they died the material red and they send you a $19 Screaming Eagle stick on emblem that will break when you try to change or service the air cleaner, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Today I took apart the AC cover and Dremel'd out the two intake snorkels leaving the plastic welded outline piece that holds the metal mesh in place. Wide open intake with the mesh secure in place.
