My Apologies (Thread closed 2017-02-18)
I wanted to take the time to apologize for any misunderstandings with regards to the Forum mascot.
First off, contrary to what some might have believed, I was NOT attempting to steal the mascot.
So, as I posted in the spring, I went to training for a new aircraft in March. What should have been a 6 week training footprint ended up lasting until the end of June (not counting my on-the-line training, which lasted well into July). As training went on, I spent exponentially less time on the forum, and concentrated a great deal on studying and training. . . Because it is, after all, how I eat. I most often access the forum with the Garage Talk app, and it wasn't as apparent to me that multiple users were trying to get in touch with me (usually, most of my notifications are for subscribed threads, and I was pretty much in "ignore" mode. I haven't posted much on the forum, even when I would take a second to browse through some threads via the app.
Once I finished at the schoolhouse, passed my oral and checkride, and started on the line to finish my qualification process, Eve (a moderator) made contact with me, and I quickly was able to pass the mascot on to Nomadmax.
I make no excuses, but things just got really busy, really quickly, and I had to compartmentalize. So, I offer my sincere apologies.
Except to the guy that sent me a nasty message accusing me of lying about being a US Marine. That guy can suck it.
So, again, I'm sorry.

Nice Apology and explanation of what happened but I don't think any was really needed.
After all it just apiece of material. The important thing is everything is ok with you.
The children on here will someday grow up and realize the same thing...
Please don't be a stranger,,,,Most of us will be glad to see you back around....
Personally I miss your witty and mostly useless posts....
Take Care..Ride Safe... Tim...

Most of us gave you the benefit of the doubt. It did appear like you were blowing the mods off. Thanks for explaining.
Hope your training went well.

I have an advantage that most of you don't; I got to meet FB face to face. As we get older we become more perceptive about people, in addition to that, I did a job for 26 years that gave me the ability to see rather quickly what a person's true nature was; whether they were trying to deceive me or not.
FB is a good man, a good Marine and someone who I now call my friend. We will get together with the wives and ride this year and I would travel down the road with him in an instant. While I'm sorry if there's any bad feelings over any of this, I'm happy it happened because I gained a friend.

I was hoping to hold on to the mascot for a while but, it didn't work out.....I AM going to ride to sign it though!

It has been my observation that a lot of times, some people's thinking takes off in directions that it shouldn't go and things get blown out of proportion, I know because I've done that myself on many occasions. You did good because now you have laid many minds to rest about what was going on.

I'm glad you're ok, noticed you haven't been around for a while. Sounds like all is well now. What's the new wings going to be?
