Radio display stays on

Radio display stays on
OK,,,here are the symtoms. Turn off ignition and radio display stays on. No sound,,,just the display and back lights remain on. 05 SEElectraglide, 11,000 miles.
Remove seat, tape on ignition relay and display goes out. Swap relay with the starter relay next to it, (same relay) no difference. Turn on ignition, turn off ignition and display remains on. The tach and speedo lights also stayed on several times, however cycling the ignition switch on and off a few times and they turned off.
I washed the bike yesterday and thought hmmmmmmmmmmm,,,maybe water somewhere, however it has sat all night in a hot garage and the symtoms remain the same. I am off the replace the relay this morning, however I am wondering if this is a bad igniton switch problem. Everything else turns off as it should. Weird, I HATE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS!!!
Thanks
Tom

RE: Radio display stays on
OK,,replaced relay...same thing....and it works ok for a start or two,,then back to the same thing. With the ignition off, I pulled both relays and checked the voltage of the hot side of the harness. One is 12 volts,,,the apparent bad one is 4.6 volts with the ignition off,,,strange as anything i have run across. I may have to break down and head for the dealer. arrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......

RE: Radio display stays on
Found it!!! I had a wiring harness under the seat with a converter for trailer wires. I unplugged this harness and found some minor corrosion on the plug. Plugged the original harness back together without the converter and everything works fine.
Sometimes it's the simple things.
