Default Converting back to electronic...

I'm seriously considering:
http://www.ultimaproducts.com/programmableignition.html

the previous owner didn't trust electronic so he converted to points. He said that the engine wouldn't even start with electronic. Frank is very experienced and knowledgeable in all things Harley but I take issue with that.

the local Chopper Shop recommended a $450 setup but the Ultima is a third of that. The Amazon ratings are impressive and it seems to do everything I'm interested in. Does anyone know of any problems with it?

That system was perfect when I changed my EFI to carb on my '98. The only issue was a very short life for the coil, but that was just the luck of the draw I believe. Others have had no problems with it and I wouldn't hesitate buying another system.

Ultima stuff is pretty reliable and straightforward to install, works well in shovels , I've been running Dyna S ignitions since they came out , love them.
