Hi all -

While flashing a FP3 canned map, the instructions say to turn the bike off for 30 seconds. I have a Softail Slim... Are you supposed to turn both the handlebar switch off and the ignition switch on the tank off, or do you just turn off the handlebar switch?

Handlebar switch doesn't do anything when flashing.

You need to power off the bike and basically reboot the FP3 with the ignition switch on the tank.

 

Cool, thanks. The instructions are a little confusing, and actually, they do not go beyond finding the map you want.

 

Agree with this completely. I wasn't sure if you had to leave it plugged in so the bike would even run, or just to view the charts on your phone. Definitely needs improvement. But thanks to HD Forums I found out everything about it's use.
