My dealer told me to always use the kill switch when shutting her down. so i have been since i bought the bike in June. I was on a ride over the weekend with a bunch of my Harley Buddies and they saw me do this and yelled at me. they said that i should NEVER use the switch on the bars unless it is an EMERGENCY. What do you guys do? I am a bit confused.
When my ignition was on top of the tank I used that. On the bike I have now the ignition is forward and low on the front frame rail. I've developed the habit of using the kill switch and then reaching down to the key. Admittedly I'm using two switches to accomplish one thing. Oh well!!!!!!
