There is a down and dirty way to get a MM bike to run better by “ear” tuning the TP sensor.
While it definitely is NOT an authorized way to recalibrate EFI, it IS what we did to get the first MM bikes to run decently before there was any tuning devices available.
After the engine is completely warmed set the twist grip right off idle (lean sneezing) and adjust to TP sensor a bit each way until the engine speed smooths out.
It will be rich and lean in other locations but hopefully much better than it is now.
Note: Mark the sensor to the throttle body so, if you get way off base somehow, you can simply return to original setting.

Other than that, a proper tune with a Power Commander is the best resolve.
