FM 110 Kit 10.5 comp 777 LVL B heads --Pinging a bit 2300-2600
Good afternoon
I sent this email to Jamie also
Me and wife took a little ride today
Bike was Pinging a bit between 2300 – 2600
Temps were ok / normal
Ambient temp 88
I hadn’t noticed it before
Extra weight and extra load on motor I guess
Running 93 octane 10 percent ethanol
I may switch back to 93 octane non-ethanol
Bike has 300 miles on breakin
Running 2nd Auto Tune Map
Anything I can tweak/try? to get by for weekend
Maybe I will reload Jamie s Original Map for trial
I am very Happy with the 110 full Kit
Getting it dynod in 2 weeks
Thanks

WinPV...
First you need to know what MAP pressure the "pinging" is at ...along with the RPM ....
set up your gauge with one so you can see both ....
after determining what area the problems are ...
open the WinPV software ....
open the spark tables ....and find the section (area) where the rpm and Map pressure meet ....
Keep in mind ...hard to pin point the exact ...area....so ...take each block all around the area you think is the issue ...and retard 1-2 degrees to start with ....(remember to do the same change to the REAR cylinder also ...
1-2 degrees for a slight ping ....may need to open the VE ...and remove some fuel also ...for a more serve problem ....
or open the AFR table and remove a few points from there ....if not at a 14 or higher ....already ..
Good luck ...

Pinging...
leave the fuel where its at and retard the timing (-2 or more degrees in med....as you say) in the quick tune ...keep in mind that you will be retarding the timing in areas that may not need it ...too !!!
be best for you to learn to use the software (with a performance motor ) ..and make the adjustment the motor wants and needs ...instead of the adjustments you want ...
good luck ...
