Default Harley Race Tunner

Hey guys, Hoping you can give some advice. HI have a 06 FLHXI w/ Rineharts and Air Cleaner Kit with a Harley EFI Race Tuner Kit part#32107-01E.I'm planning some upgrades including cams and will be using a Power Vision PV-1B tuner as recommended by Dyno Tune. I've been told first thing I must do is remove the Race Tuner tune and revert the ECM back to the stock tune. I have all the parts from the purchase CD, cabling, and the race tuner. First off the CD states PC running Windows XP, 2000,ME, or NT4.0. Will this software work with Windows 10 or 11 or do i have to get newer software? Also can anyone give me some pointers on how to proceed? I'm very mechanical inclined and computer literate but never messed with Harley tuning. Any help and assistance would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

FLHXIGlide.

Not really sure you have to revert. I have used PowerVision over Harley's race tuner flashes. You may want to double check that.

In reality it's a moot point because you can't reload the Factory tune with the race tuner. Closest would be a stage 1. The dealer would have to flash it back to factory.

My 2015 was tuned with a SE race tuner. The dyno guy didn't have any problem flashing it with Power Vision.

This right here. I had 2 of them done with the SE tuner, and a PV2 (or a 1B) was able to burn right over the file that was in the ECM

Thanks guys, I'm going to call Dyno Tune Wednesday. I was told by 1 HD Dealer that I have all the cables and other stuff that I can do my self or bring it in and they could re flash. Also they said it must be remove and returned to stock before continuing. Also I was told the stock program should have been saved. Another HD Dealer said I can't do anything and they would revert back to stock for $250? One of them is lying. Thank you.

Harley does not charge for the oem tune - at least they did not in the past. The tune is available to the dealer at no charge. The dealer may charge labor which realistically takes about 15 minutes to prep, hook up, flash - but most will charge .5 to 1 hour.

I flashed over my Screamin Eagle tune with PowerVision. You can literally flash the ecm with either - back and forth.

Only the TTS or original black box race tuner as far as I know, you have to revert to stock map. (And TTS website, has the map to revert to stock with their tuner) You can, as others correctly stated, flash the pv tune onto your ecm right now without reverting to stock. So tell whoever you go by to tune, that you can take your pv and play it in and start tuning.
