I recently had the 107 up grade done i have a power commander in now and am told the bike will perform a lot better with harley race tuner so my question is is harley race tuner a better option
I have the SEPST (race tuner) and the software is clunky at best. The PC is quicker and easier to program. Dont be fooled, the PC can do everything you need.
I have a race tuner and can tell you it is a much better option for your bike if the person doing the tune is trained to use it and looks at any other tuner and scratches the side of his head.
There are better options than the Harley tuner. Since TTS stopped making the Harley tuner several years ago they have went downhill. Make move to TTS or something like Thundermax. Last resort would be PC with autotune.
As far as much better, I do not think "much better" is accurate. The PC in the capable hands of a knowledgeable tuner is more than adequate. Most people do not spend the required dyno time to get a top notch tune out of any of them.
I have the race tuber and really like it. However I know how to use it, and it can be a task learning it. Go with whatever your tuner suggest. If you are going to pay him to dyno, better to have the program he is the most familiar with
