i HAVE A 2004 EG and it has a engine trouble code set, my 1999 manual told me how to read them and what they support. My new manual doesnt tell me how to read them or what they are for. Does any one know where I can find this info.

 

Attached is a pdf file of a tri-fold flier I put together in 2004 which will tell you how to retrieve codes and includes a list of codes. The forum won't accept pdf files so download the file, remove the txt extension and then open it with acrobat reader.

 

My 02 has separate manual for ecm related electronics.

 

If you cant find the code try checking the EFI sensor plugs,a common problem is a broken wire just behind the plug.

 

Once again a forum member comes through with just what I need. My check engine light started coming on occasionally. Five minutes of looking on the forum and I find out how to display, decode and delete the error code - all in a nice brochure! Thanks.
