i have an 04 flhti and keep blowing the 40 amp maxi fuse. at first i replaced it and it lasted a couple of days but now it blows as soon as i turn it on????any advice would be appreciated.

 

Check for a short to ground near the battery...

What did you do to the bike recently???

 

Trace your battery cables and starter cables.

 

No kidding! You have a serious dead short to ground. As soon as you turn on the ignition? How about the solonoid - 12volts and unlimited amps sitting there fat, dumb and happy.

 

i found the problem it was the ignition switch wire rubbing against the fairing brace causing the short hope it helps someone
