Default 2006 8 deg vs 25 deg injectors

Read the posts in this forum about this and I am still confused. I have talked to service dept at two dealers about this topic:

SD Harley:
If you look at the rear cylinder at the intake, there is a part number. If the part number has a "-25" then its a 25 degree injector.
This was a mid year change at Harley. They are only replacing them if there is a problem.

Biggs Harley:
No the part numbers are different and there is no "-25" involved with the part number. Early bikes had the 8 deg and you would have received a letter from Harley if your bike model needed to be changed to the 25 deg injectors. They have not had any problems with any 2006 Deuce models.

Questions for the forum:

Q1 - Have you received a letter from Harley which says anything about injector upgrades?

Q2 - Have you had your injectors upgraded?

Q3 - If the answer to Q2 was yes, did it fix a problem?

Q4 - If there was a problem, what was it?

thudmeister ,there was a service bulletin M-1185 someone on the form might have it.

Q1 - no letter from Harley

Q2-mine goes in 6/27/06 to replace injector's

Q3-don't know yet

Q4- cold start and or driveability problems

DO a search, mine is running hot, stalls when down shfting when coming to a stop. going to get my **** run over a light one of these times. Does not do it all the time . some dealers change with no problems under a warranty issue. also surges at different times. I have the service Bulletin M-1185 i printed it from a web site I tried it and link is no longer working somebody on here should have it . If not maybe you can give me a fax number and i can fax you a copy. IT should not cost anything to have them replaced, just some dalers are ********. At the dealer i went the woman ***. service got all nasty and said if there is no cold start problem they will not replace . Mine had all symton's except cold start. talked to head service manager he said order and when they come set app. there in and i tske it on the 27th. Let me know if need me to fax this but i think it is here some where on the form Maybe ask TERRY 1955 OR JOHN TN. they can probally tell where to look.

Had my 8* changed to 25* had the cold dying issue since they were changed no dying at all. Made a big difference on my '06 Heritage Classic.
