I just bought a used bike. 09 FLTR. The dealer says he can't find out any service info other than what was done there, so they've got no idea.

So,

Is there a way to find out if this bike has been flashed? It already is a closed loop system right? It has pipes with the O2 sensors, so shouldn't it compensate if I throw on a new intake?

 

Well tell the dealer to ask the tech boys to plug it into the Digital Technician and see what flash is in it. Pretty simple and take them all of 5 minutes and they will soon know if it has the stock flash or not.

 

That's right.....if you bought it from a dealer....they can plug it up and find out exactly what type of Fuel MAP is in there. Harley has part numbers for all the fuel maps they flash. Also......If you call customer service....they may be able to tell what was done to the bike at another dealer, especially since it's newer.

To me.....small request....should be part of the deal.
