My 07 883 low turns on then when I try to start it it clicks off with no power and kills the starter relay in the fuze box. When I put a new relay in the power comes back on and the issue repeats. Any ideas? Battery connections are solid and all power seems fine until I push the start button.

something is shorting direct to ground and I would highly suspect the starter. your best bet is grab an electrical diagnostics manual for your specific ride, follow it from the starter relay back into the electrical system.

disconnect the + from the starter (tape it up or isolate it someway) and then hit your start button.
