Default turn signals

i've got an 80 flt .i took the fairing off and added light bar , now i can't get signals to work , i can get a test light to work but when i touch the signal to the light bar seems like a dead short ?any suggestions ? Thanks Don

I'd look at a short in the new stuff you installed. It may be possible that you are pulling to many amps from your electrical system. Try diconnecting the light bar and starting from the beginning.

Thanks , i did undo everything and started over ,but with the same results . they worked fine until i removed the fairing , i put the test light on and had someone push the left and right buttons until i found which two pins they were but it won't light the signal and when i touch the signal to metal i loose the dash light also , dead short ? or a ground problem? Thanks Don

Hmmm, I know that a load equalizer is used when messing with the turn signals, such as an after market installation. Maybe this is something to look into. Other than that, I am outta idears. Good Luck to you.
