Several years ago I had my shop install the auxiliary lighting kit on my 2000 Fatboy and also installed the turn signal relocation so the turn signals are directly below the new lights. Coming back from my Sturgis trip, the left light/turn signal is so loose that the wind will push the light all of the the way to the left so that the light shines in that direction instead of straight ahead.
Has anyone worked on this set up before? I cannot figure out how to tighten the light/turn signal so it will not rotate. I have disconnected the light and the turn signal and the complete housing will rotate in either direction, but I cannot fix the problem. Any help would be appreciating so I don't have to take the bike to the shop.
If you remove the two allen heads holding the directional light base on the unit, you can take a 9/16 deep socket and slot it lengthwise with a dremmel so the wire from the passing light passes through the slot and tighten the nut underneath the passing lamp, then reinstall the directional light. Aim it and check it first before remounting the directional light.
