Ignition Timing Map for Thunder Heart Stand Alone Ignition
Does anyone have a good ignition timing map file for the T-H Stand Alone Ignition system? I just uploaded the software and it appears that it does not come with any pre-defined maps. I'd like to start with a pre-defined map and then tweak it.
Thanks,
D

Stay away from the "Timing vs Engine Speed Page". Will explain later.

After I read this post, I had to take a second look at your original post. Thought you were using TMax EFI. No experience with the stand alone ignition.
FWIW, I did look a map for a stock 96 with 2 into exhaust and it was running slightly more timing (31 deg after 4000 rpm).

Yeah, when I rebuilt this bike I decided to go carb instead efi....the problem that I'm having is that the motor stutters a little when initially giving it gas. It only happens when the bike is in gear (not while idling in neutral). I thought I might have air leaks, but I did the WD-40-around-the-manifold check and I could not find any air leaks. I experimented with changing the main jets, it didn't change anything. My next fix attempt was to mess with the needle jets. I rebuilt this bike mostly as a learning exercise...so I'd like to figure this problem out myself...versus taking it in and paying someone to fix it.
Thanks for the info about the 31 deg timing after 4000rpm. I might change that and see what effect it has!
