My FLD SWITCHBACK vibrates like it's coming apart after about 3,400 rpms and 65 mph.
While I AM a retired mechanic and have wrenched on many Japanese bikes. I've never encountered a mystery like this thing.
It's unrideable at highway speeds.
But nice and smooth around town.
I'm in Sunrise Florida 33322.
I'm looking for a Harley experienced person to look at this bike.

 

Is the Vibe in any gear over 3400 RPM's? Have you tried disengaging the Clutch when it's Vibrating?

There are a few.
The one with the stock exhaust thing is redundant since I have V&H duals.
The front motor mount I've just ordered and will shim it if it is required when i install it.
Google.....And YOUTUBE is good stuff. Indeed.
The head bearings and tires/wheels are good.
I've removed the windshield, crash bar, sissy bar.....I'm removing parts to see if any of that crap is resonating.
Nothing yet.
I'll have the mount next weekend

Zeropilot I had the front engine mount on my flhs go bad some one had installed the velva ride front mount. possibly post up what your fix was so other readers can identify. and learn. thanks.
