Default Header Question

Are the aftermarket headers coming with no Cat in them for the M8? I heard a 15 road glide minus the cat and that thing sounded sick. I am figuring the Cat is really holding back the sound on the M8's (or any Harley for that matter).

I installed a new cat-less headpipe from fuel moto on mine. huge difference in sound, heat, and performance.
You must tune it after installing a new headpipe.

Have not had mine done yet, but I'm going for the Fuel Moto. All I hear is good stuff.

I have started a thread on this topic here in the M8 forum, and there are others. Lots of good information to be had, but from all that I have gleaned the results are very favorable... i.e. sick!

no cats in them.. had mine swapped out for V&H power duals.. makes a huge difference in heat and sound. aftermarket slipon mufflers can only do so much for sound.. and nothing for heat. need to lose the cat.

I was thinking about going the power dual route with the fp3 tuner. I am concerned about the warranty however. And yes I know there have been MANY warranty threads already and I am not trying to go there.

it's really all about your local dealer. He/she will lead the charge on any warranty repairs. I was told no problem as long as they installed it and I used their SE tuner. I plan on holding them to that if and when that time comes.

I have read many of your post and see you follow the boards closely and are highly respected. Is there something behind this post I am missing?

Any of you get dyno runs after the Fuel Moto headers were added? Would be interested to see if there are any improvements other than sound and heat. I saw FM's dyno sheet online, but were other variables added to the mix.
