Default 1,600 miles on a 2017 Streetglide Special and BAM!

Another bike hit me....

Everyone is OK (wear your riding gear). The other bike is totaled.

I THINK the only real damage was the saddle bag. It bent a bracket and I have a new rattle on that side of the rear of the bike though.

Before...

After...

It APPEARS as if this bracket was the only other damage...other than a rattle.

I wonder how long to get a new bag?

Glad you are ok bro. Sucks to have to wait for a bag now. Good luck. You ought to still ride without it and knowing wanna-be's, you could start a trend. One bag tourer! The moco will see that and start offering that as a "Special" with a single pipe on the bag side. They will market it as a "SAS Streetglide Asymetrical Special"

First of all I am glad you are okay. You have a beautiful bike and when repaired it will still be beautiful. That really stinks but count your blessings. It can always be worse.

Good luck and ride safe.

James,

Riding a motorcycle is like shooting a firearm in that everybody thinks they can do it, but few are truly proficient. Choose who you ride with as carefully as you choose someone who handles firearms around you.

I am a trainer so I tread dangerously so others can be safer.

Definitely glad you are OK, but how did the other bike get totaled and you just lost a saddlebag? Other bike glance off the saddlebag and then hit something else I'm assuming? Hope the rider of the other bike is OK too.

If you ever wanted to get extended bags now would be the time to do it IMO.
