Mac, Do you realize that MJ was the person who started this thread almost 3 months & 1000 replies ago? I think it's odd that that you should question him about what he posts it the thread he started to make people aware of a problem. JMO

you sound like an attorney...."So really you don't know if your bike is still experiencing any issues"...

of course the issue still exists..you believe there's a chance it 'self resolved'?..I don't need to be performing continued validation..I noticed it, reported it, found out it was an rpm driven related issue, tested with the recommended reduced rpm's, validated that stopped the transfer as stated it would...no desire to rinse and repeat the exercise as I've witnessed what is occurring and how to manage it

I for one am glad he still posts and started this thread. I just traded in my 2017 Indian Chieftain for the 2017 RGU and had no clue this was going on. Somehow I miss it.... or yes I would have waited until MoCo fix it. But thanks to MJ we are aware of the problem and I for one also just ride it under the so called "Safe RPM'S" I know your not trying to be negative, But MJ started this thread. MJ keep posting it's you thread!!! Keep motor'en

thanks..but reality is i just got to it first here..it was inevitable someone would have noticed and inquired.. but so many of us, myself included, haven't been in the habit of checking trans fluid because it was never one of those things that needed to be monitored..I'm a little OCD and even surprised myself that I actually bothered to check it..Steve Cole exposed this weakness and performed tests and told me how to manage it. damn I hope this is over soon, can't believe when I started this it would morph into what it's become here

Glad you started it maybe harley will do something if it had been kept quite for sure nothing would have been done. The part that i can't see we all have the same set up and some don't have the problem.I bought mine last August 7/16 production date so i just have a year left may not get a fix by then if not i'm getting rid of mine hate things when they are not right. We shouldn't have to baby these things around just to keep trans.fluid.in them.

At least most of all forum M8 owners are aware of this problem. Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread and we now know how to manage this problem until a repair is found.
