Painted Lowers off EBAY for Touring Bikes
With the days cooling off i wanted to extend the riding season on my Road Glide Special and add a set of lowers to get the cold air off my legs. I decided to risk a set of EBAY that come out of China for $ 389, painted and shipped. The deal is good, but would they be any good? They were about half the price of the Genuine HD ones:

I bought them on Sept 2, and they showed up yesterday the 16th, much faster than I was expecting since they were coming from China. The maker is Advanblack, and they were well-packed and securely wrapped. Paint match is spot-on, fit and finish are excellent They attach easily (there are no instructions, but you can figure it out without too much difficulty). I am very happy with these - they are a bargain for price paid and come with a functioning glove box an adjustable air vent for each side. They make quite a difference on air blocking, too. More than I expected on my test ride I did after installation.
I also installed a taller windscreen for cold weather riding, this is a 12.5" Medium Recurve from Clearview shields and its perfect, zero buffeting.

I've had several miserable experiences dealing with China based sellers. If you need to return it, shipping may be prohibitive or more expensive than what you paid (depending on the size of the item). This seller is only giving you 7 days before attempting to return it.
If there are problems, I have found eBay's resolution to be a waste of time as all they do is bounce e-mails back and forth between the seller and buyer, a case of he said - she said. Instead, I go to Paypal which has a much better timeline for resolution.
