2017 RG - Anyone had problems with the display?
On Valentines day I took a 300 mile ride and about halfway my phone Bluetooth disengaged and wouldn't link up. Pulled over and tried multiple times to get my system to recognize my Note 8 but it wouldn't locate it. My wife has an Iphone, after 2-3 attempts it finally linked up to her phone.
2 days later, I fire up my bike and instantly my phone connects but no sound. I hit the Nav button to try and pull it out of it's malfunction and nothing. Nav won't come up. It's basically frozen. On and on, disconnect all phones, setup again and it works. For those that might be thinking it was my phone, 'No" it's not the phone. It's acting weird. It's winter so I decide to turn off the EITMS on Sunday. Took me 5 attempts to get it off. Something's not right.
My clutch pack switch is also F****. It needs to get replaced. I've lubed the switch which fixed it for about a month but now even lube doesn't let it start in gear. Maybe it's all linked together, I don't know.... What I do is, if I take my bike to the dealership for a warranty repair, it will be the first time in 28 years I've ever taken a bike to the dealer for a repair. Normally I wouldn't do this but electronics are my nemesis and I will screw it up.
I don't know if this has happened to others before but I suspect that the dealer won't replace the head unit if it's not acting up when I drive it there.
If any mechanics reports of faulty head units exist I'd love to know about it.

I've had my head unit freeze up on a few occasions as well, seemingly due to the audio connection to my iPod. I don't use Blutooth, mine is connected via USB, but I've had similar symptoms as you. Key off for thirty seconds to reset the head unit, restart the iPod, and it's fine until the next time it happens. Very random.
