i swapped slip ons today and saw the protrusion from the crossover pipe that sticks into pipe itself. I remember seeing posts about the benifit of trimming it flush. My question is what did you use to trim it back? Thanks in advance
Hey there I noticed what you are talking/asking about. Couple of ideas; leave it alone? maybe, loosen claps, pull it back and grind with what ever tool. Not sure what the real benefit would be. Or maybe, even have a "blank" welded into the cross over hole and then have a two into one exhaust system, with a ghost muffler. Yep, my brain thinks in evil ways. Good luck. CSM-H

I used a long burr bit that I bought from Summit Racing. It reaches in and it didn’t take very long.

That may be true, I don’t think you’ll feel it riding the bike. Steve Cole told me to do it before we did the cam tests so I did. It probably allows more exhaust to exit the left side, how much more is anybody’s guess.
