Default Used 2017 M8

Well I'm going to Look at a used 2017 Ultra with 17k on it on Saturday. What should I look for and what should I ask them? It is for sale at a dealer here in New England, Just concerned about issues but really want a M8...

Thanks for reading!!

I would want the dealer to pull the service records. If they are a Harley dealer it shouldn't be a problem. I would also ask to speak to the previous owner. The dealers here will arrange that if you ask. If its got 17k miles and it runs and rides good, you are probably ok. Just my opinion.

yeah, available maintenance, modifications and repair history would be mandatory for me..has warranty been compromised, etc. if not you have transferrable left on it with an opportunity to extend that before factory 2 year expires....stuff like are tires original or been replaced, and if latter were wheel bearings ok..that could be an expense or in your favor depending on the answer, same with brakes, required hydraulic fluid flush, upcoming 20K service, etc etc all adds up to addt'l expenses that you might leverage as bargaining chips..good luck

good stuff here. 20000 mile service is expense if your saving a boat load on used price extend the warrenty which i never do on new bike but you dont know how a used one has been maintained or ridden.

Be sure to make sure it hasnt had the warranty voided. With a m8 you are gambling a little bit hoping it doesnt have sumping issues. I would also be curious why it was traded in and really curious if it was traded in after havig the motor replaced... it is possible.

Better the devil you know than the devil you don't. I'd want to know why the guy got rid of it.
