the oil deflector hasn't stopped the 19's from transferring trans oil...hopefully the oil pump seal works...I feel sorry for those that have both the problems...

Yep, no such thing on the shaft, and if there was an O-ring on that spinning shaft it would be short lived.

No sir, I believe the drawing is referring to item 31, not 8, my 2019 FLHTK did in fact come with the updated oil pump back plate and seal.

Yes sir, your right in that an O-ring would be short lived on the main shaft … that's why it's not an o-ring … item 29 is an oil deflector and it is in fact there on the 2019s.

All he was saying is that item 8 is not on the crankshaft. We all know about item 31.

When was the build date on your bike? I'm curious, I think I'll have to add the New seal to mine when we install the cam. Mine has a build date of Aug. 2018, dang it.

I mentioned item 8 because another poster had mentioned that there is a seal and an O-ring on the shaft for the new pump components.

Stone, I’ve done the relief work on that inner cover. Putting it together this afternoon, now all I need is decent roads. This has been a bitch of a winter...

I'll update as soon as I’ve put 3-4K on it. By then we should know if the CVO pcs. are needed or not. Thanks again for all of your efforts on this issue, and sharing them on the forum.

Did they change the inner gerotor design on the new pumps, I was under the impression the new pumps come with a new inner?
