I'm doing it.
I've been thinking about a new bike for awhile. I decided to order one, an i'm going with a 19 Limited. Based on price, I couldn't decide between a new 18 or a 19, dealer met me in the middle of what I wanted to pay. I sure hope that I get a good one with no issues! 1st thing i've always done is put a set of true duals on the bike before picking it up. What are people doing on the newer M8's for exhaust?

Congrats on the decision. I am in the same boat but still deciding between RGS or RGU.
I am part of the school of thought where any brand-spankin-new bike will be ridden 100% stock for at least 1K miles before starting to tinker with the minimum basics as we all tend to do (AC, Slip-ons and/or True Duals, EFI tuner). No real basis in 'science' that I know-of but just feels right to me to get things seated and run-in a bit first in stock configuration. Hard to resist for me but at least this M8 sounds and runs a lot better than the older bikes stock...at least in my case as mine was an '09 new last time I bought an HD. Just me, of course...and I'll probably totally cave and contradict myself when I order/choose my 2019.

Congratulations
With the new Boom if you can swing the 19 that is the way I would go and you are also getting the 114. That has been a really sweet motor for me. You will enjoy.
I would leave the exhaust stock for the first 1k miles as mentioned above and put slip on’s on afterwards. Talk to your dealer but you could open a can of worms warranty wise.
