Default M8 sputers and stalls when stopping
my 2018 road glide is sometimes stalling when coming to a stop . This happens when it is warmed up . It seems the idle sputters and dips then sometimes it stalls .any ideas what it may be ? I changed the plugs ,wires , air filter and put in fresh gas and no luck . The bike has 10k on it . Thanks in advance .

Bad switch pack on left bar? Does it start in gear? Will the eitms work in gear?

You're changing parts out on a bike that's under warranty?

my guess is he must have tinkered with engine mods that blew his warranty..there'd be no good reason to mess it with yourself otherwise

The bike won’t start in gear and I changed plugs , wires and air filter to avoid going to dealer and losing bike for a few weeks . I have not done any warranty ending modifications, the bike is stock .

the clutch switch and lever would be replaced with new updated parts under warranty that solves that problem..it's possible it might resolve the stalling problem as well as they might be related..there is also a TSB for idle issues and they could take care of that with a bump to 950 rpms

Thanks for info , I think it is just an idle issue. I will call dealer and bring it in . I really try to avoid going there , the last time I had it there was with my 16’ RGU and they had it there for almost 2 weeks for a neutral switch .

Not a thing wrong with that. But in this case i would have to take it back to the dealer and ask for a loaner. Prolly wont give you one but worth asking.

Sounds like it needs the left switchpack replaced if it won't start in gear and erratic idle with stalling at times.

Call dealer in advance. 30 minutes to replace switch and lever. There's a service bulletin on it.
