I'd say both. Not sure if you still have factory head pipe with cat or not. I ran mine with the fullsac mx head pipe and it sounded really good over stock. I can't comment on how they would sound on a factory head pipe with a cat as I did the mufflers and the head pipe at the same time. My dealer did the work but did not put any of the factory packing back in the mufflers. Gutted them and put in the new baffles as all.

Yes, that is how it works.

Said right in my instructions how much to cut down the factory packing that comes out to put it back in with the Fullsac baffle if you so desided. I opted not to.

You like the sound? Better than stock?

I don't mind the sound. Better than stock yes, but nothing headturning. Friends behind me say they sound good. Will change again when I put the MX header on.

Yeah, nothing in there about removing the exhaust packing.

That's all that's in there, a very short crimped baffle and packing around the outer diameter of the inside of the muffler.

I wonder how Magnaflow and those other companies get the mufflers to sound so good. Just by installing a perforated baffle the entire length of the muffler?

Not a great pic, however, there's not much in there.

Is that a picture of the stock muffler?

There actually is quite a bit of packing in the stock muffler, it is a fairly dense material. I just talked to Fullsac yesterday, they received the black stock mufflers I had sent to them and are going to modify them with the 2" baffles. I should get them sometime next week. I will probably install them on my bike right away, really want to hear what they sound like. Your welcome to come over if you want, it's only a 400 mile ride.

Yes, stock muffler. I purchased a spare set.

Not sure if I can make it, but I will think about it.

If you could, take pics of the muffler ends, curious what they look like.

What were the options for baffles? 2 and 2.25?
