Default Warranty question

I have heard a lot about the warranty with the m8 bikes. What you can and can't do etc. I put a stage one on my m8 limited. It is all screamin eagle parts including the tuner. I installed it all myself so did I void my warranty with the self installation?

You shouldn't have any problems with your warranty. The thing that voids it for most people is either not using the screamin eagle pro street tuner or changing out the head pipe to a catless one.

as long as the parts were epa certified screamin eagle, you should be okay. there are a lot of se parts that are not epa compliant and that would have warranty implications.

The letter of the law:
Any non-factory part or non-factory approved modification and not performed by a tech at an authorized dealership can void your warranty.
Reality:
Depends on the dealer and if a factory rep has to review the bike to determine warranty coverage or rejection.
Doubt that your warranty would be voided if you used genuine HD parts that are approved for street use. but, note the "letter of the law"

DIY is fine unless of course the root cause of a particular failure can be attributed to incorrect installation then they could play that card

Should be no problem at all unless you improperly installed the HD parts.
