Talking I'm In!

As soon as I saw the M8 I wanted one. I still have 2 Evo's (2 Pans and an Iron Head). I swore I'd never own a TC.

I bought a 2018 today with 1,700 miles (from a Used car dealer), I called one of my Pals dealer in SC and he sent me some pictures and a Retail Price and Lowest Out the Door. OUCH! More than what I expected (or planned on paying). Got on the Internet and found a 2018 Street Glide with a few options that a Car Dealer had near by. Loaded up the GF and headed to the dealer yesterday morning. He had 3 M8s. All Street Glides, Gloss Black, Flat Black and Silver. (All 3 came from a dealer in Atlanta.) Looking over them, I choose the 2018 Silver with 1,554 miles. After the negotiation I left with the Bike.

I'm unsure which exhaust it has (mufflers) but they sound Damn good. It has the up graded seat, removable rear rack with both back rests (front and rear). No ABS and No Security. It does have the Touch Screen. I called a dealer and checked the Warranty, it's good until June of 2020.

I could use some help...

1. No Owners Manuals.
2. I'm unsure if it's a Special or Standard (Flat black inner faring)
3. I'd like to Lower it some in the rear (my '98 RG is lowered).
4. What seat in on the bike?
5. I'd like to know what Mufflers it has

I rode it a 100 miles home and so far I'm impressed. It's Not as "Soft" as my old Evo RoadGlide. The bad thing about buying from a Car Dealer (deals in high-end cars) is I basically have No History. What you See is What You Get.

I'd appreciate and help or info. Looks like the old Evo will get a good cleaning and start looking for a Buyer;

congrats, low miles with warranty and some useful accessories so not a bad way to go

1. No Owners Manuals. (register with the VIN on the HD site Owners and you'll have access to your Owners Manual and other info, recalls, etc.)
2. I'm unsure if it's a Special or Standard (Flat black inner faring) Standard
3. I'd like to Lower it some in the rear (my '98 RG is lowered). (can't advise)
4. What seat in on the bike? (looks like HD Sundowner or Hammock)
5. I'd like to know what Mufflers it has (looks like Cobra slip ons not sure which model)

Flat back inner fairing makes it a "standard", means abs/security was an option, smaller radio, look for abs sensor on left side of front wheel.

The seat is a Harley "Sundowner"

Congrats on your purchase,

Congrats on your purchase!! A great way to lower the bike get "LA Choppers" 1" kit, it is a shock relocation, that lowers the bike straight down, no loss of shock function. Also find a "Street Glide" seat about $100 will give you another inch or more.... I did this to my 2018 Road King, inseam 29".... great help. Good luck, CSM-H

Awesome purchase and congrats, great color.

At 1700 miles with a warranty from HD...i wouldn't be worried.
You just bought a new bike minus some depreciation.

I wouldn't worry about history, there isn't any but what you make from now.

Thank You, Thank You!

SixGuns it has the Larger Touch Screen. I read somewhere about the identifier was the Flat or Glossy Inner faring.

My neighbors hate me anyway so the mufflers are Fine (and I have a Loud *** V8, 427 Cobra replica). I looked everywhere and couldn't find the mufflers.

Reading like CRAZY... So the rear shocks have an Adjustment? I know this, mine are STIFF as Hell.

The dealer offered me a 2019 Standard SG out the door at 27k, I got this one for almost 10k less.

WOW That dealer was trying to rip you off. I got a 19 Road Glide out the door for $ 22,500.00 in the San Diego area. Personally I would not lower the bike. You for sure got a good deal.
