2018 FLHXS put a Barnett Scorpion clutch in with Barnett basket and am getting awful clutch chatter. I can rock the scorpion pressure plate by hand and the clutch plates will rock back and forth. Tried several oils Bel-Ray Gearsaver 75w, Redline primary, Mobil 1 4T. Drives good no slipping just at idle with clutch out it chatters, pull clutch in and it stops. Got any ideas?

Stock 107 with Baker comp and M8 chain adjuster.

 

I know the red line sucked.... but have been using ford type F trans fluid with that clutch.. but only after i cleaned the redline crap out... its ok in trans. Horrible in primary

 

No doubt Redline primary sucks, Gearsaver was best so far but still chatters.

 

Lmbon about redline, but red line does make good motor oil.......

 

I know in a dry clutch carbon plates do rattle but does a wet carbon clutch rattle ?

 

I have been running Scorpion clutch and Barnett basket, Baker comp with stock adjuster and 75w Gearsaver oil since May and it holds great. It rattles like an old tractor, neutral rattle is terrible also has bad decel clutch plate rattle, talked with Barnett "3" times and was told each time that it is normal noise. I run it the way I want and it's still working as good as the day installed, maybe rattle is good, we will see. I can't make it slip and I have tried.
