Ok, what is the usual drill for straight pipes and cam?

By a bike.
Make it loud. and add a cam.
Fart around with a cheap tuner.
By a more expensive tuner.
Fart around with it.
Take to an OK dyno expert and get a crappy tune.
Take it a better dyno tuner and he figures out how to either get more back pressure or sell the guy decent pipe.
Bike runs well.

Am I missing something?
