Yes.
There is a dyno graph of completely stock vs. stock improved.
It's a few HP and TQ but the curves are better.
More importantly, as said, you'll have the foundation piece for future mods.

 

The ability to raise the RPM's can benefit some riders. The M8 can use them. Some times being able to stretch a gear out a bit more before shift comes in handy when riding a bit aggressive. You can make changes to the TWB if you wish, adjust idle.
And if for some reason you tach and speedo goes out. You can set the Pv gauges to display speed and keep going. Been there done that.
