Default Bitubo Shocks

Finally got my Bitubo twin adjustable shocks yesterday. A short test ride over the usually bumpy roads by my house and that thing was smooth as butter! The only issue is that by following the torque specs in my manual caused me to crush the sleeve running through the bushings a little. I found this out when I tried putting my passenger backrest on and found the shock was in the way. DK Customs is going to send me thick bushings to use on the inside of the shock to space things out a little. I was going to rig with a couple of small washers, but they offered to send the washers for free.

Word to the wise if installing these shocks, torque using the older touring model spec of 40 ft lbs.

My wife and I both have 2013 Switchbacks. She has 13" Bitubo shocks with adjustable preload and dampening. I'd recommend them highly. Aside from a great price, what drove me to them over some other offerings was the adjustability, they are sprung for your specified weight, and they have more travel than most aftermarket options. IIRC, the 13" shocks have 3.7" of travel.

I have them on my 2020 SG. DK had them set up for my weight and when I put them on they didn’t ride any better at all. So I had a friend help me to set the sag and now they are great. I’m satisfied and glad I didn’t spend $1000 on other brands.
