Metallic noise when accelerating from low RPM
The 114 on my Breakout has been fitted with RS468, fuel moto pushrods, Johnson lifters and Thundermax. I have this setup for about 1000km already.
I realized that if I whack open the throttle from low rpm 2000rpm on 6th gear, there is a metallic noise coming from the valvetrain. No such issue if I whack open at 2600-2700rpm.
Is this normal or there is an issue with the pushrods adjustment?

Whacking open the throttle in 6th gear at 2,000 RPM.
Too much throttle at low RPM=detonation.
This type of operation is not good for an engine.

Doc- "well don't do that"
A good rule of thumb is to try to keep r's a minimum of 2500.
2000 is probably ok putting around in 1st or 2nd gear

Thundermax software has a "how to" about timing vs detonation adjustments. Using map #480? Tmax Troubleshooting > Ping Detection > Timing vs TPS
