Default Selling bike and insurance

Good morning all. I'm considering selling my bike and I have a concerns about insurance. First, if they are serious buyers and want a test ride, does my insurance cover it if they have an accident or decide to just take off with it?
Second question, if they do a cashiers check and it turns out to be counterfeit would insurance cover it as a theft?

I kinda think the answers are yes on both but thought I would get the groups opinions.

Sounds like questions best answered by reading your particular policy and/or conferring with your insurance agent.

Ask your agent for the facts. Don't ask for opinions.

These are questions for your insurance agent, not random internet people.

Maybe yes, probably no, on the test ride coverage.

Not a chance on the bad check coverage.

Might possibly cover a crash on a test ride, probably not a ride away. I’d also say not a snowball’s chance on the bad check.

You’d be a fool, though, to listen to us and not ask your agent. And even if your agent says you’re covered, have him/her show you where in your policy it says so and/or get it in writing. Better very safe than sorry.

I don't have answers for your questions, sorry. When I sell a bike and they want to ride it, the full selling price of cash in my hand gets them a ride. Otherwise, forget it unless I personally know them.
