The under/un-insured coverage is only for bodily injury not for your property. Your collision coverage will cover your bike. Then YOUR rates go up. Don't get me wrong, illegals from any country should go back.

I have used Progressive for my cars and house for over 10 years and those rates are the best I can find - and I get quotes from other companies on a regular basis. I have always gotten motorcycle quotes from Progressive but they have never even been close to what I pay for Markel American / Bike-Line. All I can say is get quotes and see who gives you a better deal.

Default Insurance rates/companies

Thanks for all the leads. I just bought a 2012 Harley Dyna SuperGlide and will begin my search. I will get back with you and post some of my findings. I do realize areas and individuals make all the difference but still good to do research and to have suggestions on where to begin.

Progressive raised my renewal insurance too high. Called them and talked to customer retention and ended up with a better price by getting a new policy instead of renewing the old one.

I just switched from Progressive to Geico and saved $115/year. I was with Progressive for many years, have a clean driving record and never filed any claims. Progressive jacked the cost up for no reason. Attached is the cost breakdown.
