However, when I bought a new bike last month I called them and they pushed me over to Progressive, who wanted ANOTHER $200 for my old bike and $2100 a year for the one I was buying. Since the addition of the new bike would double my insurance I passed. That was full coverage on 2006 truck, my 2000 Triumph, renters coverage, and antique coverage on my 73 Camaro.....doubled.
So I dropped both bikes from USAA, and got a warning that if I did, I would never be able to get another policy for a motorcycle from USAA, which was fine, I found a local company that only deals in bikes that will cover my standard and my super sport for less then the 2000 Triumph with USAA.
Edit
I'm paying $441 a year for full coverage on a 2000 Speed Triple and a 2009 Daytona 675 both Triumphs, and this in New Jersey where USAA literally DOUBLED my policies when I moved here from New Mexico.

I've been with USAA for 28+ years, and have had 4 (soon to be 5) mortgages, countless car/truck insurance polices, life insurance, credit cards, banking and investments - but no bike insurance. they don't write motorcycle policies in Texas. I had Progressive on my last bike, current one is through Markel (HD) - they beat Progressive by almost $100/yr. the Fatboy runs around $425 annual.
I would never switch - their customer service is the best, and they have always paid my claims in a timely manner and always seemed to pay a fair price.

We used to use USAA for everything, but the service here in MI has gone down the tubes, ins rates on the cars and bikes is more than many, and we are pulling out from them, switching the Ins to Allstate (cheaper here in MI by a LOT) and banking through navy federal. Pretty depressing since we used to have everything through them. Now we can't even get a title in less than 2 weeks.

Because of this thread, I decided to check with Progressive, Geico, Alstate and Farmers. I've been riding for 5 years, had my M1 endorsement for 5 years, Ive been through the MSF basic and experienced riders courses and have 1 accident (thanks BMW rider who rear ended me) and the lowest quote I got for 300K a person 500K an accident with a 500 deductible was 2200 a year, the most was 4500. I think I will stick with USAA for the 450 a year I'm paying.

USAA would not insure the bike I'm going to be getting. They referred me to Progressive. I got a quote for 550 a year. That's with the loaded coverages to match what I have with USAA on my autos.
I've been a member of USAA since they opened memberships to NCOs in '98. My autos, home, rentals, banking are all done with USAA.
