This is a great classic HD “geezer” glide and the coveted 2002 twin cam. Perfect for cruising or touring. It will do it all. It doesn’t leak any fluids and starts up every time, although she is a little cold natured. I have the idle set lower for that nice twin cam sound. Do you yearn for the simplicity of minimal electronics and the smell of a carbureted twin cam?! This is not a performance animal, but it will reliably get you from point A to point B. And it’s cheap to own/maintain.
I would love to keep it but I am no longer riding.
I bought this motorcycle in 2013 in Round Rock TX. It had 29k miles on it. I rode it for a couple of years for about 2k miles and then sold it to my dad in 2016. My dad rode it until 2021. At that time it had 58k miles on it. Motorcycle spent most of that time in SC. It is currently located at Fort Benning,GA.
I got the bike back in 2023 and used it to commute to work in VA. Before riding it I did some maintenance. The list is below parts replaced and/or rebuilt:
New front fork seals
Progressive monotubes in front forks
New neck bearings
New handlebar bushings
New front brake, throttle, and clutch cables
New stock grips
New khromewerks narrow sweeper 2+2 handlebars
Rebuilt front brake rotors and replaced pads
Rebuilt carburetor
New choke cable
New stabo motor mount and rear swing arm stabilizers and swing arm bearings
New swing arm rubber isolators
LED headlight, taillight, fog lights, and front and rear turn signals. I think the rear are custom dynamics
New fluids all around
New shift linkage
Probably some other parts I just don’t remember
Chain tensioners were replaced probably in 2017 with about 35k miles. I visually inspected them again in 2023 and the front looked great. The rear did show some wear but not enough to be concerned.
I removed the radio and speakers because it was an aftermarket and didn’t work. Plus I could barely hear it. To me, it’s just extra weight on the front end.
Has a road king comfort stitch seat on. That’s what’s been on it since purchased in 2013. Super comfortable. Seat is not perfect. I don’t have the seat space cover so there is a gap.
Has a tour-trac stabilizer on it.
I put my own black pin stripes on it to cover the factory gold ones. Also I painted the wheels black.
Both tires are date coded 2019. Battery is 2019.
The paint is not perfect. Don’t expect it to be. It’s a 2002, but the chrome and paint still shine.
Bike has been garaged always since my dad and I owned it, but the black plastic does show wear because it sat outside while both of us were at work. Bike has been ridden minimally over the past 18 months. I've stopped riding so looking to get this classic to a new owner.
I don't have a trailer, but willing to ride to you within reason, assuming you are serious about purchasing.
