Default Daytona Blue paint

Has anyone had any paint or touch up work done by a painter in 2014 Daytona Blue Pearl? HD only sells little touch up bottles and someone at the local dealership called to see if they could buy a quart, no deal, touch up only. They did give me the number of a painter they use and talking to him he's not sure they will give him the code, he has the paint computer and said he "might" be able to get close. I've got speaker lids coming next week and down the road will be doing extended bags and fender. Just want to see if anyone has gotten the paint code or a painter that was able to match it.

Thanks Joseph, already checked there and not listed, sent a request and waiting on an email from them to see if they have it.

So far I have not found any one that sells the paint. there are a few out there that can match it but not the exact same color. not that anyone wants to pay stealler prices but did you ask them? the turn around time would be long as they would have to send it out.

I called both colorrite.com and touchupdirect.com, both said they only sell touch up and they hadn't been able to match close enough if you wanted to paint an actual part. HD said the only paint they will sell is the touch up bottles period, not even to dealers. I did find a local painter who doe a lot of custom work and has things under control it seems.

PPG has it. It is a "Factory Pack" (Formula not available)

I think it was $280.00 a pint.

Your local PPG store will have to call PPG themselves.

Thanks Tom! I met the painter (DL) today, he's in Sarasota and does custom work. He's buddies with the PPG guy and believes they have the formula from an inner fairing he did a while back.

What I heard from John at Metal Mafia is that formulas have not matched up as well as the Factory Pack.

Any way you can post the formula your painter came up with?

Also, I'm looking to get my inner fairing painted also (Daytona Blue)
